Well most people choose to be stupid for attention.

Some are born stupid, some pretend to be stupid. People do what work. Some not so stupid people become stupid because of their environment. Others are stupid because it is a mechanism of protection. It protects them from the reality.

People choose to be ignorant and by doing so they do in fact display a certain amount of stupidity.

They're born that way. The Pinks do not have the blood of the Yeti coursing through their veins, and are biologically condemned to stupidity, ignorance, slacklessness, and the worship of false gods. They're nothing more than animals, and deserve to be hunted, killed, and eaten.

Some are born with certain mental impairments,like being bypolar and attention deficit disorders,ect. That makes them appear to be stupid,and some of them actually think that they are.

Stupid as in "lack of common sense," or as in "got crappy grades in school?"
The school one is chosen, as anybody can study hard and do well. But common sense... hmmm... definitely born with it, or without, as the case may be.
