Purchased my house, a 1920s Tudor Revival--not English Tudor--and there's very little info about what the interior style of these homes would have been like. Can anyone offer any ideas on how to decorate but keep the character of the house?

1st floor--front door opens to small entry, then immediately into the living room (stairs to the left of entry). LR flows into DR (open floor plan--I think shelf/divider was removed at some point). doorway into small, but updated kitchen w/ oak cabinets (hate them--what do you think of creamy white?)

Also, I have a window at the front which wraps around the side. 3 rows and 3 columns ( think MS Word table function, LOL). Think it's original?

Thanks in advance!

Ok, I have no idea what a Tudor revival is. But I do know that 1920's were a very simplistic time. I recommend white cabinets (creme, eggshell, whatever kind of white you want.) If there is glass on the cabinet doors, I would have them etched with the lattice design. If there is space above your cabinets put some greenery and find some antique items. Try to stick with a theme (not just random antique stuff).
Kitchen floor, I recommend white tile in a cool design or pattern.
It's alot of white so pick a patterned print for curtains and seats.

The entry way, paint it white and put up one of those cute pegboard coat racks. Also painted white. Use a nice colorful throw rung that has colors similar to kitchen pattern. Dining room all white on trims, molding. Dining table should be a dark ebony or black.

Hope this helps.
