TY D BOL M,
FOR A JAW THAT LOCKS THERE IS APROBLEM WITH THE DISK WHICH PROVIDES CUSHIONIG BETWEEN THE UPPER AND LOWER JAWS.
IF THIS DISK SLIPS OUT OF PLACE, THE JAW CAN REMAIN IN A LOCKED POSITION.
THE KEY IS TO HELP THE CHEWING MUSCLES TO RELAX.SOMETIMES THERE NEEDS TO BE AN ADJUSTMENT OF THE BITE AS YOUR TEETH COME TOGETHER.
THE BEST THING TO DO IS SEEK THE ADVICE OF A DENTIST WHO'S TREATED TMJD PROBLEMS BEFORE WITH SUCCESS.

It sounds like you might have TMJ. If I were you I would contact your doc and get tested for it. There are a few ways to correct the problem. You can see a massage therapist who can work the muscles of the face, there is also a surgical procedure that can realign the jaw, or shots and medication that can cover the pain. I would opt for massage first off, just in case it's a matter of teeth grinding or something.

This is called TMJ for temporal mandibular joint disorder. See a dentist for the correct diagnosis and process from there.

Typically they will make an inexpensive plastic mold for the top of your teeth. You need to wear the plastic mold to bed at night. You do not need to wear it during the day. It costs about $100.

You need to see a dentist for this, they may have to perform some procedures to help fix this because the older you get the worse its going to get. You should be able to call one and they can discuss it with you.
