Albertsons for Bakery, Meat and Deli items. Safeway for Produce and Grocery items. Safeway is cheaper than Albertsons, but Albertsons has a better quality of meats and bakery items. Safeway does its best to find the best quality of produce anywhere.

90% of the time it's Safeway. They have better deals. But there are a few things they don't have that only Albertsons does. I'd say I only go to Albertsons about once a month to pick up stuff I can't get at Safeway.

I prefer Albertsons over Safeway simply because it`s cheaper and nicer.

I like Safeway, they are always courteous and friendly, more so than any other supermarket. However, I do think Albertson's has a better bakery, their hot french bread is awesome.
