Follow foot prints if you can. Keep calling for him to come back. Hope it's not too cold cats can get frost bite very easily! My poor cat came to the shelter with severly frost bitten ears and lost the tips!

Because of the weather conditions, you want to act fast. Don't assume that he will eventually find his way home because unfortunately this is usually not the case. Place his bed or uncleaned litter box near your front door so he can follow his own scent home. Then open a strong scented cat food can and loudly tap it into a dish so he can hear you if nearby. Make sure you check bushes near to you home also. This has worked for me when my pure white cat was lost in the snow. Good luck!!!!!

Put out food, it will return. Or else it has found a place to keep warm and then when it comes home don't let it out, in the snow again without, tying it up.

Go outside and rattle the cat food box. He'll come running!

Go to the door, call him, rattle his food box. If he's hungry and/or cold, he will come. If he's feeling fine, and enjoying playing in the snow, he will come later. Keep trying.

That's why I like cats. They do as they choose, not what you'd tell them to do.

You call kitty kitty and eventually it comes.
If he doesn't want to be found you won't find him.

My crazy kitty hid outside in an old car while we called for hours. At the height of a blizzard she limped out- she had her paw caught in her neck collar up to her armpit. Only one of my kids could get near her and we had to cut it off her to free her. But she still hated to come in.

Same way you find any cat you go out and look for them. You can also put food out for them.
