Ok, I had this thought I think of rejecting Christ. I am a Christian and have been since around 17, I am 18 now and very much concerned of the situation at hand. I asked the Lord Jesus to forgive my thought. I don't know If It was just a thought or If I really did reject him??! I know in Hebrews it says He will never leave us nor forsake us. I just need assurance that things are ok and I need advice and comfort and strength and direction. Please please help me. Thank you

When you ask for forgiveness and you truely mean it it is forgiven. God isn't the author of confusion my brother and all you need to remember is exactly what you said, He will never leave you or forsake you. Just keep on praying and ask the Lord for forgiveness and ask Him to come back into your heart everyday whether you think you have sinned or not because some times thoughts can be forgotten after a short period of time before you have a chance to repent. All you need to say is " Lord, Forgive me of my sins knowing and unknowing.and i ask that You come back into my heart Lord Jesus. It's in Your Precious name that i pray. Amen." If you need more strength and need to feel the Lords presence ask Him to send you the power of the Holy Ghost. If you already have the Holy Ghost, ask Him to renew that Spirit within you that you may keep a strong walk with him. God bless you brother and i will be praying for you.

Relax. You did nothing wrong. Faith is intention, not conviction. Doubts, random thoughts, etc. are all natural, and are not sin. You cannot reject Christ temporarily. In other words, if you want to reject Christ, you have to persistently reject him as a matter of choice. God will not judge you for questioning, searching, or speculating on his existence.

Now, go read Ezekiel Chapter 18. It teaches us that God is not concerned with the future or the past, only the present. What you believe right now takes precedent over what you believed five minutes ago, or what you will believe five minutes from now. Faith only exists in the present.

Finally, don't think of salvation in terms of heaven or hell. Salvation is not binary. Salvation is a gradual process of attaining an ontological union with God. You are a Christian, and God will no longer judge you for this sin or that sin. That is not a license to do evil, but it should help you to understand that all of your sins have been atoned for (past, present and future), as long as you faithfully return to Christ. It is time for your spirituality to take a mystical turn. Contemplate the presence of God all around you and in everything, contemplate all events around you are contributing to his purpose for the universe. Stop worrying about whether or not you will make to heaven - that is a given. Start working on your own personal union with God.

I don't believe that just a "thought" is a rejection. If you let the simple thought (or lack of thought, I guess, too) become an action and act in rejection of Christ, then that is more serious. But simply thinking or wondering for example if Christ is real, or if you are right to believe as you do, is human and natural. Belief in Christ can't be dropped or violated with just a simple thought. And if you asked His forgiveness, then get over it! Jesus isn't offended by human thoughts that are simply that--He knows every thing we think, and understands us. That's why He's so wonderful in His love and forgiveness to us!

Hi. Whenever I feel a down about my own beliefs, when I don't follow God's will or Christ's example, and I wonder about my own sin and salvation, I like to turn to the apostle Paul as an example. Even Paul, who lived his life completely for Christ, constantly struggled with sin. In Romans 7:19 he says "For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do - this I keep on doing." The good news, however, is that Paul goes on in verses 7:24-25 to tell us that it is God who rescues us - through Jesus Christ our Lord.

I think it's actually a good thing that you feel bad about your thoughts of rejecting Christ. It means that you know it's wrong. This is a good sign.

Keep the faith.....

Look, I guess I can spit out a whole bunch of Bible verses, but I really think you just need to know something in general. We are human. Flesh and blood. God created us, and He is well aware of our faults and our weaknesses. You asked Jesus to forgive you. You repented of what you did. When you repent, Jesus doesn't even want the issue brought up again - do you know why? Because when you bring it up again, what you are saying is that even though He died on the cross for the forgiveness of sins, He wasn't able to forgive yours - so now you're coming back to Him AGAIN. He did forgive you - its you that didn't forgive you. Do you see? Sometimes we get the strangest things in our minds, and we don't even know where the hell they came from.
It happens to everybody. Hang tough. You sound like a great person, and we need you - so tonight you dump all the concerns, and wake up tomorrow morning all fresh, forgiven, and ready to go out and start a brand new day. Joy is the expression of the love God has for us - so go out there and express that.
One more little note: You may not fully understand how God intends to use you, but satan knows. And he's gonna use any and every means to keep you from serving God. And discouragement and guilt and depression are some of his favorite tools, so keep your head up and remember that. Don't allow it. Read Luke Chapter 10 and you will find that God gave us power over all our enemies - that includes satan. In the name of Jesus Christ order all that is evil out of your mind and home.
Don't put up with it - you don't have to. Hang in there, ok?

The Worst Addiction

We want you to stop. We think you are gullible and immature. It is possible that you are ignorant or crazy. We will help you, if we can, but you must stop. It is up to you, your decision. We cannot make that decision for you, but we will encourage and assist you if you are sincere about overcoming your issues.

You should not be ashamed of this problem. It is an easy trap to fall into, many others have made the same mistakes. Many have rehabilitated themselves, and you can, too. We will help you if you request it. There are many avenues of support, to bring you back to reality.

It is time to face your responsibilites and get on with your life. You have been deluding yourself, divorced from reality, unable to see the truth. Come into the bright sunlight, and relinquish your dependence. We can help you if you wish.

Start right now. Don't wait to think it over, don't wait until after the next "fix". Just, as they say, DO IT. Here's how to start.

1. look at yourself in the mirror and repeat: "I am a rational being, I can think for myself"
2. Put down the Bible, Koran, Talmud, Kabala, or Book Of The Dead
3. Now go out and try to be a rational being

Do not ever forget that Jesus died on the cross for you and for all the world. If you became a born again believer, NOTHING WILL SNATCH YOU OUT OF HIS HAND. If you asked for forgiveness know beyond a shadow of a doubt that He has forgiven you. Continue to look to Him, and know that He has not forsaken you. All of us, even Christian, do and say things that we should not do, we are not perfect- remember we are being made perfect. You cannot lose your salvation- you can lose the closeness in your relationship with Him if you do not repent. If you asked Jesus to forgive your thought, know that He has, because remember, He died on the cross for you, and that means forever forgiven, not just until we mess up the next time, God bless

Jesus is always going to be there for you. It might not seem like it at times, but He's there. He came here to save us, to forgive us. He loves you, so don't ever forget that.

Ah, you could say Satan put that thought there. Do you *want* to reject Him? The only time you would really truly reject Him is when you yourself decide to (I hope you never do). It's a stray thought. I'd try reminding myself of why I accept Christ.

You've asked for forgiveness. You're trying to repent now. Good. From what I've read through in the Bible, you're forgiven.

Keep ya chin up! ;D God bless

I believe this to be the devil trying to get you to turn from God. Just remember you can resist all thoughts by speaking 'out loud' "I rebuke you Satan in the name of Jesus Christ.!" The Devil does not know our thoughts as God does, therefore you must speak it out loud, and these bad thoughts will flee from your mind.

Continue praying and drawing near to God all the time. You are right! "He will never leave you or forsake you" Dan!!! You are young and a fairly new Christian and this is the time when the Devil will attack you most to try and get you to turn from our Savior!!! Any bad thoughts such as you described are from the devil, not Jesus!!! I promise you! Please talk a pastor. Fellowship is very important!

My son is your age, and has shared this concern with me too.

May God Bless you always!

Love you.

Jesus will never leave you. He loves you too much. The best thing about being Christian is that you have A. Jesus in your corner. B. Billions of other christians that love you. Have faith, this world is trying and will let you down sometimes. But there is more good in this world than bad and for us christians even our deaths will not stop us from experiencing, enjoying and living a full existance.
