I just had this discussion with my seven year old today after, when confronted about some inappropriate behaviors in the classroom he told his teacher "this is just who I am, and I'm not going to change".
My response to him was this - you have a right to be who you are and do as you will UNTIL your behaviors impact others. At that point, it's not just about YOU, but about the people around you, who must be taken into consideration.
Part of the Wiccan Rede states "An' it harm none, do what ye will". Christianity has a similar sentiment in The Golden Rule (do unto others as you would have them do unto you).
So, to answer your question - you can do what makes you feel good, but only if it's not harmful or negative to yourself or others. At least that is my opinion...

Of course you have the right to. God gave us free will. But that doesn't mean it's necessarily the right thing just cus it makes you feel good.

No. Thats Hedonism. If I liked to eat cheeseburgers and smoke cigarettes everyday, does that mean I should be doing it?
