There was a woman who bought a lottery ticket, scratched it off, my co-worker saw her do so, and then went and complained that it was already scratched off. She went and complained to the store manager, and he gave her, her money back!! and there as no way the ticket would look like that if it would have been scratched....*why not say something before hand?*

or like buying a some clothing, bringing it back with a staind.....and saying "it was like this when i bought it"....and trying to get money back...

That's crazy! Your manager should never have refund her money. There's no way a lottery ticket would be sold scratched up already.

People do things like that because they are cheap and want something for nothing.

Wow that is a new one that I have yet to hear about. Hard to believe she got her money back. As a manager I may have given her another ticket just so she wouldn't cause a scene, but $ back that wouldn't have happen. Some people are just dishonest and always looking for a free ride. I know a woman that bragged about getting a full dinner free. She was out with three other people. The ate their dinner and when the waitress brought the check, they had placed a dead roach under the napkin holder! Of course dinner was on the house. The waitress didn't even get her tip.

People like that infuriate me. Once when I was working in retail, a lady brought back a box that was supposed to have a child's desk in it. She said she bought it, took it home and opened it up and it was empty! I didn't believe her for a minute - why wouldn't she or the cashier ringing her up notice there was nothing in the box? But my manager gave her a free replacement and I thought he was crazy.

Had a ex in law like that! I had never seen anything like it before.

He would buy power tools to remodel his house, when he'd get through that part he'd return the tool(s) for refund!

Those are the people that jack up prices for everyone else. They are trying to cheat the system, and cheat the other consumers instead.

this kinda thing happened to a coworker of mine. He was a manager at a walmart and a customer brought in some dishes that she claimed, would never get clean, so she wanted new ones to replace them. My friend took them in the back and washed them with soap+hot water. He took them back out and said,"how are these?". She said, "fantastic, thats what my dishes are supposed to look like". He told her, "Those are your dishes." 'How did you get them that clean?' "I washed them with soap, now please leave and don't try to cheat us ma'am." lol
my coworker is a no nonsense guy when it comes to fraud.
