It is debated whether or not relgion is real or fake, but the Bible is considered non fiction. It is in the 200s, according to the Dewey Decimal system. A religion book would be in the fiction section only if it were a clearly made up story with a clear plot-climax-plot, like other books.

Reference in most places in Australia (my country). But in my suburb, there are a lot of Christians, also our Mayor is a Christian too including other leaders. In our local library, the Bible is in the non-fiction section, because only Christians live here.

When you visit a library, you will discover that there are more than two sections in a library. The Bible is in the Religion section, oddly enough. It is 220 in the Dewey Decimal System.

Religious texts.
The Bible itself contains both fiction and non-fiction, as do most religious texts.
And there are plenty of books in the non-fiction section that are really fiction.
