I went for my eye exam today..i rushed over there in traffic etc..and had my Prescription sunglasses on still when i went for my eyam..while right away, when i sat down, the first thing my eye doctor said was "why are you wearing sunglasses inside?" im like "their prescription and i was told these are the ones u can wear inside or out" he's like no,they worsen your eyes, their only for outside" Does anyone know if this is a known fact? The eye doctor who prescribed them to me,said u can wear them inside, and another one also, except this guy..plus my friend said she had this guy for an exam and he was a jerk ( we have many stories of how he was a jerk but theres no need to explain them here) i just wanted to know if my question im asking is a fact or not. thanks.

Unless they are transitions - where they get lighter inside and darker outside, it would cause you to have worse vision indoors because of decreased contrast. This should not damage your eyes, just more difficult for you.

If your eye doctor is a jerk, go to another one. Optometrists are a dime a dozen.
As to wearing sunglasses indoors, it makes you look like you're either on drugs or pretending to be a Hollywood poseur. Leave them in the car.
