Creationist took samples of the petrified tree and the surrounding rock and sent them to different labs for dating. The results showed that the rock was as much as 40 million years old, and the petrified trees were about 37 thousand years old. Does this show that maybe the scientific methods of dating are sometimes in error>

Only two answers, and one from a Christrian, thank you brother. I guess when the evolutionists can't come up with an answer, they shut up. Maybe next question they'll be more talkative.

.Scientific dating methods always show wide swings in dates, and can't be relied upon. All the methods used for dating use assumptions that would give an old age to their test samples. When labs date an item, they usually ask what dates are expected, and eliminate results that are way off the mark as being anomalies, and just give the expected results.

37 thousand year old wood within 40 million year old rock is an impossibility, except in scientific theory.

Yes, they are not perfect. But just wondering, what type of dating methods did they use? Different types of methods work differently, and are not exact.
Also because they were creationists, they were most likely looking for results that would prove modern science wrong, so I can't really trust their data without seeing more information. Do you have a link?
