Many drugs have chemicals in them that when mixed with other drugs or foods will cause serious problems.

I don't know why no graefruit products. Try typing into the search bar, "Buspar+Food Interactions", that should take you to an explanation of the reaction between Buspar and the grapefruit or just call your pharmacist who filled the prescription, they'll be able to tell you, it's their job.

It negates the effect. It is called the "Grapefruit Effect". Something within grapefruit juice interferes with the absorption and efficacy of certain drugs. Sometimes it can cause a adverse effects. This is common in a few different drugs.

Grape fruit effect is when the grapefruit make your medication to be in higher dose in your system. So what happens is you keep on building more and more medication in your system and it increases your risk for suffering adverse effects of drugs.

Or grapefruit and Buspar combined cause what is called an adverse drug reaction
