Women are like the queen bees and men are the drones... Well, maybe not altogether THAT, but women are the ones who "rock the cradle" and that means being the teachers of the young. Women do this by natural instinct. Men are the providers and hunter gatherers by nature, and they do that and protect the females by their very nature. Hormonal changes in the female will dictate different moods and changes of faces along with the 150 different "hats" she's called upon to wear in any given day. The guy goes to work, interacts with the same folks and bosses, squash partners and then he's done with it. Not as much interaction keeps him "simpler", if you want to call him that. Maybe role reversal is really a good thing these days, huh?

I read a book that summed it up. Men are like waffles and women are like spaghetti. Men compartmentalize everything into separate categories (like the squares in a waffle). For women, everything is connected in some way (like the noodles in a dish of spaghetti). I think men are less reluctant to speak their mind because when they say something, a millions thoughts don't go through their mind since everything has it's separate compartment. When women think about what they say, a millions things do go through their mind because everything is connected. I think this is true for the majority of men and women but there are always exceptions.

Most times it's because guys are harsh and unfeeling and they don't care if their words hurt the person they are directed to.
Women think things through and more often than not sugar coat their words in order to help the person with the least amount of pain.
