Look in local shelters and for rescue groups in your area - There are lots of little dogs out there just waiting for a loving home!
Please don't answer anyone from YA or on the internet - There are a lot of scams running; you send the money & never see the dog.

try looking in your local animal shelters. i am not in your area, and these dogs are not free. But the adoption fee is A LOT cheaper than from a breeder. You can look on petfinder.com to search for homelss dogs of whatever breed you are looking for in your area. Animal shelters have many pure breed and mixed breed dogs that make wonderful pets. If you can travel down to Indianapolis, the animal care and control here has 2 up for adoption. Fee is only $60.

you need to go onto petfider and check to see what dogs are available. there is no such thing as a free dog. but your local shelter offers it as close as you can get. you pay a nominal fee for the spay or neuter and vaccines and the dog. if you can't afford to pay for a puppy, then you cannot afford to properly take care of one. save your money and research what it takes to be a responsible pet owner in the meantime.
