i really like a guy but we're only friends. we're in 7th grade and i really want to ask him out. should i ask him out??

Man, I think any guy is lucky to have a female ask him out! Since I was 15, when the last one asked me out, as a guy, it's aaaaaaaaalways been on me. Lots of women don't know or understand how much men respect and like them for asking him out, probably because they're too shy themselves, worried that she'll look like a whore, worried that the guy will be a jerk, or is just plain stuck-up. I say if you like this guy, shoot for the hoop.

You bet, you should. We are in the 20th century and a women is certainly permitted to do so. (even a 7th grader)
Even in my younger years past, i've heard guy's say: why do we allways have to be the one to make the first move? See, go for it, there is nothing wrong, going after what you want.
Caution though, if you get rejected, take it like a man!!

Sure it is the 21st century but be sure not to be too pushey and to avoid public humiliation if he's not in to u do it with not to many people in 7th grade bad news travels fast

If you really like him I say go for it. Don't wait for him to ask you, you'll wait until the ends of the earth. Girls can do anything they want don't obey by gender roles. They're a thing of the past.
