if you've never been to the dentist and you are 13, then your parents are seriously not doing their jobs as parents. tell them to take care of you.

Don't worry! If your dentist is nice and is good with young ladies like you, there will be know problems. Now on your first visit they will need x-rays of your teeth. Most of the time this is very uncomfortable! But it DOESN'T HURT!! The cleaning does not hurt at all! Just remember to open wide and cooperate. The worst part is usually the fluoride, it tastes really bad, depending on the flavor. GOOD LUCK!! YOU'LL DO FINE! I remember how scared I was when I went to the dentist for the first time. Honestly it isn't that bad and in the end they will give us women a beautiful smile!

Get an appointment NoW! Sometimes otherparts of ur body hurt becasue of bad teeth. That has been proven as a fact! SO if ur having any sort of problems then no wonder! Your teeth are all glitchy too. I like the feeling. The dentist also removes plaque that u personly cant get to. Also they put floride in your mouth and its so funny because they make u look like a duck. lol

I am the youngest of 7 children, and my parents could not afford to take us to the dentist, so I never went. I was scared when I had to go to the dentist for my high school physical and he told me I had 12 cavities.
It stuck with me and when I graduated high school, and took my 1st job, I went to the dentis to have fillings put in. I am 42 now an have a beautiful set of teeth with a lot of fillings. They are all mine though.

I'm older, and I have the same situation. My parents say it's too expensive to take all 5 of us kids to the dentist, so just my 2 sisters go. I've never met my dentist, let alone visited him/her.I brush my teeth 3 times a day, and my teeth look healthier then my friend's, and she sees her dentist regularly. It depends on how well you take care of your teeth. don't worry about it! just remember to brush, rinse, and floss! good luck with life

YES it is. Oral health is part of overall health. If you don't have healthy teeth/ mouth then you could get sick or it could lead to serious health problems later.
In addition you need regular dental care to keep your teeth for the rest of your life.
If you parents cant afford dental care, search online for local dentists that will do discount or free work on children. Also search online for colleges in your area that have dental programs (they may have a public dental clinic that you can go to for cheap and they may know of programs for children that are free that you can go to).

Yes! ask your parents why they haven't taken you to one!

You probably need a checkup and cleaning. Why haven't you ever been to the dentist?
