Usually VCD's are AVI format. If you use nero ultra (you can download for free from www.download.com)it will 'code' the movie for you then burn it. Hope this helps

hey if ur copy it to play again on any PC then u have to do nothing just leave it in the same format like .mpg or .avi......it will definetly work on other PC ...but if ur copy video songs on to the CD and want to play it on the VCD player then u have to write the CD in Video Format ....To write it in the video format just download the "Nero Burning suite" from internet it is free of cost ...and write ....while ur writing it in video format it will be on the basis of time it doesn't depend on the size at all....
like video song of 70 MB is write on the CD in video format according to the time it takes while playing on the player.....

Just leave it in the same format you watched the video on your computer such as avi. If you want to put it in the DVD player hooked to the TV, it has to be a Video Compact Disc in most cases. If you plan to give it to a friend to use on their computer, avi is safe format. If it's some odd format, your friend might not have the video codecs needed to watch it. Chow
