With the weather we've BEEN having? No, I wouldn't worry too much. If it's too cold for her she will let you know I'm sure. I would definately keep an eye out though if it DOES get cold. Maybe have her a spot in teh house ready in case. Introduce her to it, so if needed it won;t be strange to her.

The mom will be ok, but puppies should not be outside. They can get sick from the 101 million things flying around in the air. Bring mom inside a week or two before her due date and give her an area to birth the pups. Mom can go in and out but she should stay in more often than out. Make sure to have your vet on speed dial during the birthing, just in case something happens. If its at night know where you can get emergency help. She will pretty much just do her thing so you can watch to see if on the occasion that she needs help you can. If this is her first litter sometimes they get nervous and look for a comforting presents. Take the pups to the vet about 4 weeks old for their check up and start the deworming and shots. Your vet will know and explain everything to you about when to do shots, dewormings, etc. Good luck with her and the pups!!

So your the one who didn't have their dog fixed!!!! Sorry only kidding. She needs to be inside for the birth and for several days after. If this her first litter then she may not know what to do once the pups start to come. New born pups need extra warmth only inside can provide. Yes mom will care for then but sometimes they wiggle away from mom and get very cold. They can die from not being warm enough. Mom will need to go to the vets to be check within 24 hours after birthing has stopped. To make sure she is alright. Good luck hope the pups are really cute!

The puppies should not be outside, regardless to weather. They are extremely likely to get diseases when they are that young. Wild dogs and wolves have immune defenses that domesticated dogs have lost long ago. Wild dogs and wolves also have burrows and caves to hide their young from others. Domesticated dogs have lost this knowledge. So, she should be inside for about a week after the birth. The pups should not go out until they get their first set of shots.

The puppies should NOT be outside! Even in Florida, the weather can be too cold for them to survive, even with the warmth of Mom because she will need to leave them at times to eliminate or to eat and get exercise herself. If you have a good insulated doghouse with hay or straw down in it and a kennel so they can't wander, it MIGHT be okay but I would not suggest it. I would allow her in to whelp and raise the pups.

Most definately be concerned, I lived in St Augustine for a number of years I lnow how it gets there. If she's close to due she needs to be brought in. If she has her pups outside they wont survive the cold.

Just bring her inside the house. It's always safer if you just let her have the pups in a bathroom or something like that, so that they aren't preyed upon by other animals or sick demented people.

You should bring her in when she is ready... Put her in the shower with a bunch of newspapers and water. Then you can close the door and it is really easy to clean up. It is ok for her to be outside untill then.
