I tried, honestly, but every time I tried to get into church, a boom gate dropped and a neon sign flashed out that said they have detected a person incapable of being emotionally manipulated.

Good. Thank God. Praise the Lord. and a hearty A-men, preach it sister. Interesting that contrary to popular opinion on YA, the Bible suggests that judging rights are not part of our human assembly. It goes further in Rev. to specificy we are not in on the barbecue as spectators either.
Get thee to a grace filled church, sister of me heart. If you would really like to hear the Grace - just ask....and where were you when I was knocking on doors to form a church?

I went with a friend into a christian church once and did a perfect u-turn and said "no thank you."

And I remember that so I won't be signing up anytime soon!

Ok, I will be totally honest here.

I had a bad experience with the church I had belonged to for over 12 years. Church and God are 2 entirely different entities.

I still believe in God but I have no reason to believe in a church.

The only thing I don't like about Christianity is the Christians. I had a license plate frame made with the classic quote, "I love Jesus - I just hate his fan club."

The fact that Christianity is silly. Are we really supposed to believe that God created Jesus for the purpose of pestering God into forgiving sinners? Sorry, but that dog don't hunt.

All the other religions claim that you're lying and that they have religious writings that prove that their beliefs will get you to heaven or paradise. The followers shouldn't be doing this dirty work, let the religious leaders fight it out after all, they get what's in the collection basket.

What keeps me from going to any church, including a Christian one, is because it is boring! I have far more interesting things to do...like waste my time on YAnswers :)
