There is only One True Church... "sects" or "denominations" have no bearing on who is of The Body of The Church.... All True Christians are of The Body of The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head.... if you aint then you aint a Christian.

"What separates us as believers in Christ is much less than what unites us." (Pope John XXIII)

Almost all important doctrine is completely agreed upon between Catholic Christians and other Christians.

Here is the joint declaration of justification by Catholics (1999), Lutherans (1999), and Methodists (2006):

By grace alone, in faith in Christ's saving work and not because of any merit on our part, we are accepted by God and receive the Holy Spirit, who renews our hearts while equipping us and calling us to good works.

There are many minor doctrine issues and some major cultural traditional differences which, I believe, do not matter that much.

With love in Christ.

Nothing. Every possible variation of doctrine is represented by one sect or another. Christianity should be described in terms of several distinct religions.

The first people called Christians, were called that because they mimiced Jesus Christ. The literal meaning is "Christ like". Therefore, all Christian Sects have their belief and faith in Jesus Christ. Plain and simple. Beyond that, we have our differences.

I would prefer a word "cult", because in the past, word "sect" is so much misused to put down honarable religion, much more than word "cult".

The cult leaders will proclaim themselves a god.
The cult leaders word or the teachings of the cult to become absolute truth over shadowing the teachings of the Scriptures.
Each cult uses pressure tactics to coerce its members into submission.
Each cult teaches a Jesus not found in Scriptures.
A Cult will teach a Gospel of "good works" over and above the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Cults often urge their converts to leave their families.

Peace be with you. Christian sect profess to believe in Jesus.
Whosoever believeth in him (JESUS) shall have everlasting life.

All religions profess to believe in God.
Whosoever believeth in him (in God, the Father) is not condemned.

The leaders of each sect repress their natural sexual compulsions and then eventually the repressed emotion bubbles out and takes control of their behavior making them commit heinous acts against the people who revere them.

Peace!
The one that we all agree is the baptismal formula given by Jesus Christ ... "baptise them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit".
I hope I am right.
