I'm curious what the average cost of things like a loaf of bread or housing in the Naples, Italy area.

Bread is very inexpensive in Italy....They have the best bread stores around! They don't eat loaves of bread like we do. You can get a lot of different breads for under 2 euro. and it's baked fresh daily! Soda is very expensive around 2-3 euro a can. ....Also housing where we lived was double what the Italians paid..Because we were military they charged us more..We paid 850 euro for a three bedroom apartment....(which is very reasonable).

it depends on the quality of dining/hotels, etc. also remember that since italy is now on the euro, every euro equals about $1.25, so it's bound to cost more than elsewhere.
