I have received invo from International Geneological Index listing
Patrick Francis Keating born 12 May 1840 Mayo, Mayo Ireland.
My question is there a town called Mayo. How can I get info
from Mayo ancestry.

I am pretty sure it is a COUNTY- i.e., County Mayo.

I'm not sure that there is a town called Mayo. But then I am Scottish.

Remember the time difference, you will get more sensible ( Irish) answers if you ask the question during their evening time.

there is a town in ireland called mayo! look it up on ask.co.uk
try a local newspaper and place an add for info or see if they have a census record for the town! have you tried genesreunited.co.uk you can register there and build your family tree! for a small fee you can locate all cenus records and also get in touch with family matches you could end up witha whole new family yu never knew about! i did!

Try the Electoral roll for Mayo in Ireland. If he lived there then he should be on it! I hope you have success in locating him. Have a good day!

Mayo is in the west of Ireland. Sorry don't know how you would get that information.

mayo is a county in western ireland in a province called connacht. there are many websites that allow you to trace mayo geology online. countymayo.com has a section for tracing your roots, and so does rootsweb.com.

Get him to lie down on his back on some white paper tell him not to move then run round his outline with a black marker pen. Voila a perfect tracing.
