Yeah, I would. Having feelings for an ex is normal and it's best to try to move on. Maybe going out with someone else would be good for you. It made you uncomfortable, him going out with your friend at first, didn't it? Well, if it didn't then he'll get over it and hopefully you both will win!

Ask the other guy out. It didn't work with the ex the first time so it probably wouldn't the second. Get over him and move on, life's too short to keep looking back. It's the future that counts anyway.
