I file head of household, single and I have 1 child I claim. But also this year (2006) my mom who is sick has been living with me, not working at all and I have supported her entirely. Can I claim her as a dependent??
*No one else can claim her.

If you provided more than half of your mom's support for 2006, and she didn't have over $3300 gross income, then you can claim her even if she didn't live with you.

If you provided a home and total support for your mother, then yes, you can claim her. I think there is a line on the front of the 1040 that lets you show where you were the sole support of your parent. If she shows your address as hers, then yes you can.
