where can i download microsoft office for Windows XP, or who sells it the cheapest?

i accidently deleted my microsoft office, includind word application, from my computer (no need to say it, i know it was a really bad mishap), but now i need to get it back. what would be the easiest/cheapest way to either download or buy the program?

Not all is lost yet, grasshopper.

I presume you do not have cd or key, or did not originally buy the program. IF you know who did let me know.

Go to Start, then place cursor over ALL PROGRAMS.
Then click on PC HELP & TOOLS.
Then click on SYSTEM RESTORE.

Now the restore is like a time machine and lets you go back to the point before you deleted the files. So this should do it.

Now if for some reason it does not, and the Office came already installed with your computer you can just do a RECOVERY. But save all files and programs first cuz in the HARD recovery it will erase the whole computer, reformat, and put your computer back to the original manufacturer's specifications when you got it out of the box. The soft recovery will erase just data files, but you need to get the program back. This soft recovery would not do it.

You did not mention how it was installed in the first place.

Then just in case it was something that either you loaded a copy from a friend or bought the computer from someone else who had it already loaded up but did not give you the disk then go to the below URL to download a OEM or Bundled Version. The USA Supreme Court says it is legal and valid to buy them. Bill Gates turned over in his grave I bet, when that ruling came down.

If you have the CD and it is legitimate, simply reinstall it.

If it was a copy from a friend, go to www.amazon.com

Go to katz.com type iit in download put the serial in and your set.
