My therapist is putting me through CBT. How long is each session?? What will he do?? Any other info is welcome :)

CBT is a type of "talk" therapy and lasts about 1 hour per session.

You usually look at your thinking patterns and internal dialog (what you say to yourself) and replace any negative statements with more realistic or positive ones. Behavioral techniques (like breathing, relaxation, etc.) are also taught and practiced in the sessions.

It probably won't seem much different than a regular therapy session-just that some of the content of your discussions might be different.

i go for one hour one time per week. we go over breathing techniques and goal and how to achieve them. good luck
