if you run a fever and feel very ill go to ER ASAP. Make sure you don't have meningitis.!
Otherwise. place wet , hot towels on your neck, use Advil, Icy hot
You want wet heat, not dry heat for your neck.

If you dont have a "Heating pad", then just use a dish towel, and microwave it for a minute, (just tad wet, with warm water), and then put it in a plastic zip lock bag, and wrap it around your neck.... that ought to do the trick........ And I'd "Fast" for the cold, and just drink clear fluids......put some vicks vapor rub on your chest with some warm pajamas, on over the vicks, and your good to go! My family swears by this home remedy.......vicks and clear fluids....In fact my sister and her husband both got rid of pnemonia this way!!! Without going to the doctor.....so, its must be a pretty good Home Remedy!!! Hope you get to feeling better soon!!! Smile!!

If you get a fever, you need to get to the Er right away.
A fever along with a neck ache can be very dangerous. This is NOT something to wait on.

do some stracthes and maybe get a massage. You may be sleeping wrong on it So maybe get a new pillow and see how that works.

I use to have the same problem you did. This video really helped me. Just scroll down to the tab with Body Aches and Pains. Hope it helps.

Your info is not sufficient to properly answer. If you have sensitivity to light, fever, headaches you need to see your DOC to make sure you don't have a form of meningitis (Viral vs. Bacterial) Viral is self limiting while bacterial can kill you.
