That sounds really gross. I do not believe I want to see what my face would consider regulated when it comes to oil production. I'm afraid my vanity will win over nature every day of the week.

washing your face is a must! I reeeeeaaally mean a must! It takes off your foundation and cleans your pores to prevent pimples. After you wash your face, you'll want to put some moisturizer on it. As for the oil thing, if you don't wash your face, the oil can biuld up and make your face look shiny.

Well, besides the fact that washing your face is for getting rid of dirt, grime, makeup, etc...our skin doesn't always regulate itself. People with very dry, flaky skin need to use moisturizer because their skin doesn't produce enough oil; people with very oily skin typically need to use powder or some other oil-absorbing product because their skin produces too much oil.

In a perfect world, your skin would perfectly regulate itself, but it doesn't. Hormone changes, age, environmental factors, makeup, and other lifestyle choices impact the health of your skin. By regularly washing your face you remove built up oil, dead skin cells, and makeup that would otherwise clog your pores. Your best bet is to find a cleansing regimen that works for your skin type.
