A while ago the icon for above disappeared from my toolbox in my right hand corner. Someone told me that I needed to reinstall the driver and my speakers would work again. Can anyone give me a location (freeware of course) so that I can download that driver?

Start with that and search out your driver. Dont forget to note your model and perhaps your serial number in order to get the right driver for your audio card. Good luck.

Just choose the correct PC system or motherboard you have and they'll have the drivers available for download.
