Women as a whole will typically want these things out of a guy. But depending on her personality, these traits are more or less appealing.
1. Women want us to challenge them, there has to be some sort of game, a little cat and mouse to win her trust and respect.
2. Women want to be able to depend on us, we have to prove we are strong, confident and show no signs of weakness.
3. Women want a guy with an outgoing personality, a guy who can make her laugh and smile will win her heart every time.
4. Women want to be cared for, they want our attention they want us to show that we are attracted to them by holding them and kissing them.
5. Women have to be at least somewhat physically attracted to us, personality can only go so far.
And finally, before all that can be met in order to ask one out you have to show confidence in your body language, tone of voice and expression above all else.
This is my compiled understanding of women thus far. Agree or disagree? Why?

Yes, depending on the woman's personality, I'd say that pretty much sums it up. However, I have to disagree with you on #2 because for me personally, confidence in a man is attractive but what's even more attractive is when he doesn't need to show that he's strong all the time. Also keep in mind that a turn off is when guy thinks he knows everything about everything - not cool when you're a know it all.

1. No, I like when men are just direct not trying to play hard to get
2. Confidence and able to depend on you are what matters most. Showing no signs of weakness is taking it a bit too far.
3. A sense of humor is nice but I'd take honesty over that if I had to choose. It depends on each women some a sense of humor is a must, some it isn't. Some like the shy guy, some don't.
4. That's ones true but not for all women some don't like PDA or a lot of affection.

Showing confidence and positive body language goes both ways when asking out/being asked out. Other wise the other person might misinterpret that as not being interested when she/he really was.

I agree with #4 and 5. But the problem is you are trying to qualify everyone into these categories and that just doesn't work with people. Not every girl wants someone outgoing. You can be the strong silent type, or you could be shy. The point of being yourself is that no matter who you are there is someone out there who will like your exact traits. You can only pretend to be something for so long before the truth comes out. Not all girls like cat and mouse, some girls (like me) like directness and hate the whole "chase" thing. The confidence part is true only because you want someone who is comfortable with themself and not alwasy second guessing themself, men want that in women too. My suggestion to you is to approach as many women as possible, make friends, get to know people, get to know yourself and you're going to find someone cool, if you try to stick to these "rules" you've outlined, you're not being true to yourself and people will see thru that right away. But its nice that you are trying to be as successful as possible and to learn about women, but you just gotta remember that everyone is different.

Well, I think you are bang on. The thing is though that different women want different degrees and various combinations of these. One might want a lot of 1 and a little of 4, while another will want tons of 5 and a dash of 3.
