Hi there. You can try two options ...access the task manager by right clicking on the task bar, if not working ...

Go to this site and download the registry file as follows:

enable
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edi...
disable
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edi...

Double-click on the file and choose Yes to insert into your registry. It should now work.

Also check if you have recently downloaded/installed new programs, or strange behaviours .. prob a virus or malware.

NOTE: You need to have admin approval before doing this, unless you're the admin!!

If you are referring to opening up the task manager on your desktop, you simpy press the "Ctrl", "Alt", and Delete keys at the same time and it will open up your task manager.
