How come every time when I curl my hair after I wash it, it always shrinks? (my hair is longer than that)?

A tighter curl will make your hair look shorter.

first. your hair shrinks when you wash it....pretty much when liquid reaches it! My barber told me that!
second. Tight curls do make hair look smaller and if you are curling your hair it will look smaller!

When you get done washing it you may be seeing it shrink from the water and your mind may be thinking it is shorter so then when you are curling it you may be thinking it is getting shorter cause it looks shorter! this probably isn't happening but it may cause our mind does play tricks on us! LoL

what do you mean shrink? if it gets shorter thats cuz when your hair is curly more hair is in the actual curl so the length overall is shorter, if you mean your hair gets flat its because of humidity or gravity and hairspray or curling longer fixes that

A curled strand of hair isn't going to be the same length as a straight strand of hair.

the same thing happens to me, but when i strighten it, and then later on i take a shower, it gets all wavy
