Could be something gets out of place? I came down a hill on a bike (age 14) and was thrown. The bike stayed at the tree and I flew 40 feet (we measured it). Probably knocked a kidney loose but was never taken to a doctor. After sleeping 4-5 hours I have pain like somebody stabbed me, and can't breath past a certain point. From studies including twisted kidney on an x-ray when the pain was there, I think the muscles get relaxed and allow the kidney to get out of place. Closest to an explanation from a doctor was "sounds like it's in your plumbing."
So my question to you would be, could it be something that gets out of place when you get in that position, possibly from an old fall?

If you find out what it is, please post it on here!:) I have had the same thing for about the last six months. Primarily on my left side. But sometimes on the right. I have had Drs say its PCS. But it lasts longer
