the more people there are in the world the more electricity is being used because everyone in the world uses television,computer,heaters,microwaves etc.

Hi. It's not population growth that is the primary driver but energy consuming devices. Until recently most of the people in China rode bicycles. Now they want cars. It is the device that consumes. Make them more efficient and treat energy as a limited resource.
