Some people get inflamed taste buds on tongue at same time as canker sores. Causes: sharp or crusty foods that cause teeth to scrape the tongue's papillae, or taste buds. The papillae will heal on their own in a few days, but you can ease the pain with OTC protective gels such as Orabase or Zilactin-B, says Carl Allen, D.D.S., director of oral and maxillofacial pathology at the Ohio State University's College of Dentistry. OR they can sometimes be caused by toothpaste you use. Eliminates pimples and kanker sores if change to toothpaste without sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), a detergent and foaming agent. Use toothpastes by Jason, Nature's Gate, Weleda, toothpastes that you can find in a natural Whole Foods stores.

First you need to ask yourself if you have had any unprotected sex honey.
Aids can cause leisions in the mouth and on the tongue.
Also, have you eaten any HOT or real SPICEY foods before you get them? If so, drink MILK to tame the burn.
Is sounds like your tongue is harboring bacteria, which cause bumps.
If they are simply bumps that are white?
Use a GOOD tothepaste like Mintadent, with baking soda in it.
Start brushing your tongue every time you brush your teeth.
Be SURE to use a mouthwash like Lysterine after.
ALSO, rinse your toothbrush WELL with HOT water after brushing, and soak it in some Lyterine or Alcohol.
And lastly: Replace your toothbrush every 4 weeks, even if it does not have a lot of wear.
You can use a tongue scraper, but DO NOT use it when the bumps are present, or you will only irritate them, and they will hurt worse.
Brushing your tongue usually helps to rid your mouth of germs which can cause bumps on the tongue & gums.

Do they hurt? people often don't notice what their tongue looks like until they think something is wrong with it. Bumps are normal... they're called papillae and are part of your taste buds. The largest ones are at the back of your tongue.
If what you're experiencing doesn't sound like that, see your doctor/dentist about getting a tongue scraper... it may be a form of bacteria that doesn't come off when you brush.

chances are that there is nothing to worry about. I'm sure you have been to the dentist in the past 9 years and if it was anything to worry about they would have said something. the same goes for your doctor. if they do you become irritated then just see the doctor again. and no it is not cancer related. oddly enough my daughter has this issue is well. it is strange because it seems like after I started using this toothpaste with her, that is when it began. it's a colgate children's toothpaste. I tried switching, but it remains. it does not seem to bother her and I have not taken her to the doctor. but since it's not bothersome I don't even worry about it. it may not even be related to the toothpaste or the listerine. just pure coincidental. I wouldn't stress about it.

there really isn't much to do...they are basically your tastebuds overacting.....like if you eat to much salt or sugar....they usually go away after alittle while......if they are oozing then see a doctor...you can try mouthwash. don't worry to much though.
