I think that all depends on the adoption agency and/or the birth parents.

This depend on if you are looking to do a domestic, or an internatonal adoption. Some countries have very strict stipulations for the perspective adoptive parents. As long as you have it under control, and can get a clean bill of health from the doctor saying that you are healthy enough to parent a child, then you should be fine with most agencies. Research adoption agencies online, and see what they require before contacting them, almost all have their requirements on their websites which will make it easy for you to see if your health issue will prevent you from adopting with them.
Even if you are told 'no' by an agency, don't give up hope, simply keep looking. Each one is different when it comes to what they deem is a healthy parent, and as long as your high blood pressure is controlable, and you can function day to day, then you will most certainly be able to find an angency which will take you.

it shouldn't. most adoption agencies do require, or at least the homestudy part does, that you have a signed dr's note stating that you are of good enough health to successfully parent a child. if your dr can say that then you should have no trouble at all with it. that's all the agencies need to know is that a medical dr thinks you are healthy enough to parent. my husband had a colostomy, (where he pooed into a bag basically) while we went through the adoption process. the social worker was aware of it, and it was reversed a month after our daughter's birth. it in no way affected our chances. good luck to you.

It depends on your adoption agency in most cases I would say probably not. It just depends like if you want to adopted from China I would say it probably would effect it what with China’s new adoption criteria. Just check with each agency

It may be a concern for "some" agencies, however, if it is under control, with exercise and or meds, you may be ok. Different agencies consider different things. Just ask! I would say however, that most would say that it is not a vital health concern to them.
