he's just trying to save face in front of the guys. he doesn't want to be seen as the sensitive, mushy guy that you know in private. plus he doesn't wanna look whipped in front of his boys cause they'll totally make fun of him. it's what we guys do.

It's true he's probably trying to look cool in front of his friends. You'll find that many people act differently around a different group of friends. If he completely ignores you then you could talk to him about it or just leave to go chill with your friends. Personally, I wouldn't allow myself to be ignored. People shouldn't ignore for no reason and people shouldn't be ignored.
