Does anyone know where I could look up info on NC elementary schools?

My son is going to start school in August and I am weighing my options..Public school vs Private. I would like to know where I can find info on public schools. I would like for him to go to public school but I have heard alot of negative things....can anyone give me any sites I could research some info on...Thanks

You did not list the North Carolina City or Town you are residing in.
In search type in schools/the area you are looking at. Say example, Grier middle school/Gaston north Carolina. It should bring you up to that area.
