We have Adobe Acrobat 6.0 standard on a computer that we use to print files to pdf format, but when we purchased a program that program needs Adobe Acrobat 7.0. So the tech guy uninstalled teh 6.0 standard edition and installed 7.0 reader on the machine. The 7.0 reader does not have the pdf printer with it, so can I install adobe acrobat 6.0 standard edition with the 7.0 reader already on it?

Well yes you should be able to since I have Adobe Reader 3.0, 4.0, 5.0 and 6.0.1 all installed on one system with no problems, and I am able to print.

Acrobat Reader is just a part of the Adobe Acrobat Edition. You can upgrade your Acrobat standard to version 8 to get the pdf printer. If you don't want to, you can install Acrobat v6.0 standard on your pc, it will co-exist fine with the Reader v7.0

Yes, of course you can. The difference is Acrobat can CREATE PDF files, but Reader can only read and print them.

Also....
There is a free program called "Cute PDF Writer" that will install a printer driver that when you print to it will actually create a PDF file from like a Word document.
