I am sorry to admit to feeling guilty about contributing to global warming by using my car more then is necessary and using many objects in the house that are not necessities of life but rather just confienent items. I have witnessed on the television lately how much in danger our world and planet is because of how we treat it. Massive chunks of ice are falling from 1000's of years old iceburgs and the ozone layer is becoming dangerous. Living in Canada in northern Ontario we did not receive any snow until mid January and this in not natural. And the fact that some warm places in the States did receive snow when they do not usually shows us that things are not looking good for our future. The baby boomer generation can only do so much to try and halt and/or reverse this warming. It is a shame that today's youth would not grab hold of this issue and try and make politicians and corporations do their duty to try and help out the environment. What Vietnam was to my generation, global warming could be to the current generation.

As roya67 pointed out, we belong here, and it is our duty to take care of this place. Some people try to argue that this would happen anyway, but it is happening way too fast. It's hilarious how some people shun homosexuals because they see it as against nature, but they don't even care about their actual environment. In a nutshell, you don't have to be an extremist to care about things like this. Just a bit of input from everyone would help greatly.

It's going to be a tough battle for our kids and grandkids, but I hope it will bring people together like never before. Instead of man vs. man, maybe it will be man vs. nature and all of us will come together to survive amidst depleting natural resources. there will be countries where economic situations will worsen and people will succumb to desperate measures to survive, but I hope humans find a way to help each other and make way for everyone to habit a planet that they thought belonged to them. the truth is, we belong to this planet and we should care for it. I drive 15 miles to work everyday because I have no other choice. If FORD hadn't used litigation against the EPA in california to get rid of the electric car, i'd be driving one right now.

It's real and is doing just what we have been told the progression will be. There are things we can do to slow-down global warming. Now, the question is will we?

I think global warming is real just like global cooling. It is the cause that I differ with.
I would suggest you watch this website and make your own comparisons to the sun's activity.

I feel it is a horrible thing our world is going to. It is putting environmentalist into tatal dismay. It is making water amounts out of wack and putting a ton of animals on the red list and I feel that I'm the only child that cares about this. btw jim z it isn't just the world "heating up" it is snow melting and animals lives becoming extinct. it isn't just some pool party for you and your friends. IT'S EXTINCTION!!!!!!!! you should be worried.

I'm looking forward to a little warming. It's been pretty cool around here for a while. Am I worried that the earth is heating up? NO!
