I wouldn't hire you, and I dare say many others will mentally scratch you from consideration as soon as they see it. If you go
to work for a company that requires random testing, expect to be
"Mr. Random" regularly.
How stoned did you have to be to have a tattoo of weed put in
such a visible location ?

Well, my first instinct is to tell you it's time for long-sleeved dress shirts. But, well, you're in Texas, and that's not always a practical option. So it seems you have a few choices. One, you can try and go for jobs that will be more accepting of such ecclectic body art: construction, bouncer, bartender, nightclub promoter, tattoo artist, piercer, warehouse, liquor store cashier. You won't get paid as well as you'd probably like, but they're less likely to object to your tatt. Second, you can just be upfront and honest about it in the interview. Just say something to the effect of " Mr./Ms. So-and-So, I made a mistake in my youth and got a tattoo that I regret. I don't have the extra money to get it removed and I fear it will hurt my chances at this job. I assure you that it represents a part of me I left far in the past, and will not effect my ability to perform this job to your standards". Basically, pucker up and kiss some corporate butt.
I was an assistant manager at CVS in Boston with a lip and eyebrow piercing. It was never a problems, because my conduct and dress were strictly business.
Hope that helps. Good luck. And remember, if they won't hire you...sell pot! :)

there are products out there that burn victims use to cover scarring and products guaranteed to cover tattooes. one is called cover mark. their link is http://www.covermarkusa.com/covermark_kits_tattoo.htm
kits are $30.00 and come in 3 shades. they even have a demo of how the product works.
you can also go the route of covering it with another tatoo. as one other responder suggested a palm tree, you could also get a colorful peacock to cover it up
long sleeves
it's hard to find a place that allows tattooes. i have 4. i work as a desk clerk at a motel, my boss don't like tattooes, but they are where i can cover them
garages, oil change places,tattoo/piercing parlors, nightclubs, and danceclubs might be some places to put in applications
good luck. in my opinion people should not look at the tattooes as reasons for disqualifying someone for employment, they should look at the whole person and the ability to do the job correctly before saying no

Yea, you're just gonna have to cover that up. Though I would argue that potheads make a large population of America, and no one can ever claim a pothead ever hurt them - nobody likes a person they think is a pothead. Sorry. Go back to school for a while, - get a degree - pick up some technical skill - something - and show an employer that you are more than some kid long ago who got a tattoo. Good luck man.

Well, I don't know about Texas, but here in California there are a lot of people that don't mind tattoos and piercings. Try wearing a long sleeve button-up shirt and rolling the sleeves up as far as they can go. You could also try buying a heavy foundation from a cosmetics store and covering it up with that. Maybe you could put a big smiley face sticker over it, lol.

Bella below is right. There are products, waterproof that can cover up marks. Also the person who suggested you turn it into something else is a good suggestion. Make it positive, palm tree not a bad idea. Maybe a flying balloon. I hate tattoos. Tell what you did and If you got a job.

Ouch that sucks. why would you go and do that?

Try working at a cannabis club. i've seen some adds on craigslist for managers at cannabis clubs. Then you dont need to cover that up.
Long sleeves, sweet bands, cuffs....they have body makeup that actors use to cover up their tats in movies. Try that. Or just get a black permanent marker and draw over it everyday.

wear a patriotic arm band to cover it up, that will also help your job hunting outcomes.thats the best thing i could come up with other than having it removed.what ever skill your good at,just open the yellow pages to the skill catagory and start at the top and call them one at a time.it worked for me several times.good luck.save your money and eventually get it removed.then things will look up for you.pete
