The reason people become terrorists is because they are oppressed in their life. They feel hopeless and feel that only freedom is to die and go to heaven.
So threatening to kill them would only encourage them more to bomb and kill right? Since they think they're gonna go to heaven afterwards.

Not always. Christian terrorist Eric Rudolph did plead guilty to avoid the death penalty. Also, in both his state and federal trials, Christian terroist James Kopp claimed he didn't mean to kill anybody.
