why did he really dump me? why did he lie?

Hey. the day before yesterday my stupid freind went up to this guy (as a joke) and said "will you go out with melanie?" (My name) and he said yes not knowing that she was kidding. then she said "well too bad cuz she is not really asking you out!" infact i really did like this guy so i said "wait! did you really say yes?" and he said "yes" and i said "if i asked you out would you say yes?' and he said "yeah" and knowing me i asked him out right after that! he obviously said yes. i was sooooooo happy!! i had a little dance party with myself when i got home cuz i really was madly in love with this guy for a really long time!!! so when i got to school my best freind(who rides his bus) said as she passed me in the hall "do you still like dan?" (my bf) and i told her the good news about me and dan and she looked really suprized and she told me that he said to keep me away from him and he hates me! i went into the room with him and now it is really okward!what the heck should i do now?

For started,i can tell that u sound really young.. You know that saying that girls would say... friends are 4ever type of thing..THAT IS SO NOT TRUE! its the other way around.. he said,she said..does not solve anything and it all may not be right. The way you find truth is talking directly to that person. If he said yes, he likes u and stuff..then thats awesome,but if i was you dont listen to what others say to u about other people.because friends do say stuff what a crush of urs could say..when it can end up being a lie.. friends are never really friends...its best to not say to much to anyone,because it envolves less stress and people can put words into ur mouth and create conflict when u didnt do anything..so if i was u,call him up and talk to him about it!

you should not even talk to him. if you havent yet break up with him and go out with the other dude you like. obviosuly he likes you since he said yes.
