I have a friend who has had a crush on a guy for about 5 years, she doesn't know the guy, he is a musician who plays at a piano bar, and is also in a band (unsigned). She occasionally goes to see him at a gig or when he is playing at the piano bar. Now at first she didn't do anything about it because he was taken. But now he is single. For 5 years she had done nothing about her crush, and i know for a fact this guy is single at the moment, yet she won't do anything about it.
Whenever i ask her about it, changes the subject. Is it weird?

She is probably just shy about talking about it because it is an awkward spot for her because she doesn't know what to do about her crush. Try talking to her about it and even if she tries to change the topic don't fall for it. Eventually because she trusts you she will shut up and listen to your advice.

It is slightly weird but she may change the subject because she feels uncomfortable. She may be slightly embarassed that she has had a crush on him for 5 years and has not said anything. Also, she may be worried that you'll pressure her into saying something now that he's single. My advice: don't pressure her. However if she ever brings him up on her own tell her to go for it! I'm sure that she is just nervous she will be rejected by someone who means so much to her.

i think thats very weird, i think if you have crush on someone the only thing you're losing by saying something is a possibility of rejection, maybe she is afraid to get rejected thats why she hasnt done anything about it, becasue for her the fantasy is so much better

yes it is strange..but for some reason your friend doesn't want to share her fear with you*
if you go to the piano bar with her, and try talking to her maybe she'll open up* Maybe she doesn't know how ........but wow......a 5 yr crush on someone she doesn't even know......maybe she should say Hello to him inbetween sets if you know he's single right now.....invite him over for a drink and introduce him to your friend*~

talk to her crush and ask if he'll go out with her on a sorta blind date (she kno's what he looks like) if they hit off u have really helped ur friend. but b careful not to flirt with the musician dont leed him on the worst that can happen is he starts to like u

maybe she has a crush on him because he is a "MUSICIAN" but she knows it is not too often musicians have or keep a serious relationship going due to traveling and that is why she is not doing anythin about it.

Its not wierd, its sad. Push her to go for it, all she has to do is flirt with the guy a little. It is very sad to let life pass you by.
