about a million times a day..hug him and tell him I love him and kiss on his puffy puffy cheeks...
1) Because I can't help myself
2) Because I'm stocking up for when it's not "cool" to hug your mom...
LOL :)

I don't have any children (which kind of makes me wonder what I'm even doing in this section of the site), but my parents both have very different ways of showing affection, and I can tell you how our relationship is affected by it.
My mom is the type that tries to show me she loves me by buying me things, if that makes sense. We have an okay relationship, but I don't feel very close to her.
My dad, on the other hand, pats my head, nudges me, grabs my shoulder, gives me a hug, or gives me a kiss on the top of my head everytime he walks by me and tells me he loves me (except instead of love ya we say lulla - don't ask :-D ) all of the time. My dad and I have a really tight relationship. I could tell him anything, and we are really close. If I had to go to one of my parents about something (unless is it was, um, girl troubles) I would definitely pick my father over my mother.
I'm not saying that it all depends on whether or not they say I love you (or lulla) and give me a hug everytime they walk by, but I really think it has a pretty huge effect on each of our relationships.

As often as you can. A hug, or kiss make the world seem managable. Also tell them how lucky I am to be their mom cause their the best in the world.

What a strange question. I should hope that everyone answers "all the time" unless their kid is in the age of being all embarassed about it. My daughter is two, and practically every time I look at her I want to grab her, hug her, and plant smooches all over her.

Everyday! I never heard it as a kid at all and that's why I know exactly how important it is to let your children know. And the added benefit is hearing them say it back because you know that a child's love is unconditional and straight from the heart.

Too many times to count. I'd guess four or five times a day...once or twice if I'm grouchy. However, the first time my daughter hugged anyone and said "I love you" it was to our cat. Can you believe that?
(Baby is almost three years old now.)

Everyday when I drop her off at school in the morning and before bed at night. And some times just during the day.

I hug and kiss them both and tell them I love them everyday! I also make it a point to tell them they make me happy.

Every single chance that I get!! Kids can't get enough love and attention! I don't believe this smothers them but makes them happier and well adjusted little people!
