Yes it does, IF he doesn't keep anyone else's. But I know alot of people who are just too lazy to delete their old messages.
Why don't you ASK HIM? Or were you snooping in his phone so you can't ask- in which case you got yourself into this... don't you trust him?
I know personally, I always keep a voicemail from my beau because I like hearing his voice whenever I call my voicemail. And sometimes I keep a text of something incredibly sweet he said last just so I can read it again.
SO- if he ONLY keeps her messages then yes he's still hanging onto her. Now what are you going to do about it?

not sure if you just wanted men to answer this but thought I would anyway. There coul dbe million reasons for keeping her texts, you dont sy what type of a relationship he hjad with her, if it was a bad one and involved children he may keep the messages for proof. The only of knowing is to ask him why he is keeping them, I don't think it necessarily means he wants her back. My advice is to ask him outright, you will know if what he says it true, you will be able to see it in his face, and you just need to take it from there. Good luck

It doesn't mean anything. It just has sentimental value.
I keep messages, emails, letters, from the people I date, but it doesn't mean I love those people. They're just a form of memories.
