The most obvious example of this is the bible and how it is believed. I ask this because of the innate nature of experience, and that any meaning found from religious texts is actually meaning you found within yourself. You read the bible and apply its words to your filters, pre-conceptions, and biases and find meaning. The truth you acknowledge is something brought out from within yourself, not from the bible or such. The concept of Jesus and God that you pray to is not the same concept shared by everyone, as everyone's understanding of the world is unique to them and their experiences. The idea of Jesus that Tom holds in mind while praying will be different from the concept Jane holds while praying. So knowing this, why do people seek God outside of themselves? After all, every insignificant piece of existence was made by God, correct? And unlike inanimate objects, we have souls and have an internal experience. How could reflecting on God within yourself be inferior to external....

worship? If you are true to yourself and reflect on how everything is perfect as it was created by God, should you not be able to find internal wisdom of God's message? In other words, why are we not self sufficient in being able to appreciate God?

Good question! I don't know. I find the whole idea of an external god separate from everything odd and I could never really embrace that idea. It's just too foreign and doesn't feel right (to me anyway).

Finding a spirit inside you, whether you call it god or not, takes effort and self analysis. Neither of these are designed for the mass market. It is so much easier to tell people come and be saved.
It's like the people over in the computer section who ask Yahoo Answers "what laptop should I buy?" when they should be asking themselves "what laptop do I need?"
Plus, once you have organized religions, one of their basic fears is losing their congregation. Self analysis can lead to doubts about dogma and questions about the validity of an organized religion. Therefore this sort of analysis is not offered as a way to god and may be actively spoken against. After all, the Christian church refused to translate their own bible into the language of the common people for centuries lest they read it for themselves.
If everyone spent more time looking inside themselves the world would be a better place.
When pigs fly.

I'm not quite sure what you are getting at with this question. I sort of sounds like you are trying to say that "we can be god's", or are "gods".
Which is not true or possible. God is too powerful for anyone to totally understand Him. If anyone says they completely know God and His ways, they are liars; no one can completely know every little detail about God or His Son Jesus Christ. The things we know are taught to us, through God's Words in the Bible and Torah.

i think all religions are guy-made strategies that help us relate to the better power. distinctive religions have distinctive ideas with regard to the character of the Divine, however the purpose is generally an identical for a lot of them-- to kind a relationship with the Divine, to honor and worship, and with a bit of luck grow to be a extra appropriate individual for it. specific, I do have faith the better power will lead those in prefer of that relationship to the way that facilitates us attune superb.

This is the way the churches teach so that they can take away people's power and control them. They made people rely on them for salvation so that people will do whatever the church want them to do. The church will claim that only they can connect to God and you have to go through them and that their word is God's word. The church doesn't want anyone to be able to think. It wants to control people's mind and life.

The fundamental precept for all "revealed" religions is a consecrated "priesthood" whose function is to "educate" the masses. Hence, we are taught that us mere mortals are not able to receive 'The Word' without the 'educators'. Since the 'educators' have the 'power', they make the rules and the money! Nice deal if you can pull it off, isn't it?

because man has a spirit, it gives us god conscience. the bible says that faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of god. no man can come to a faith in god unless the word of god is preached to him. so yes it is realized inside but through the influence of gods holy spirit and our spirit through the hearing of the word of god. the thing is that we still have the choice to reject it though.

We cannot find God inside or outside us. We find Him through the teachings of His Divine Messengers.
