I designed magnets at vistaprint.com and I am doing small organza bags with m&m's. My colors are pink and brown so I bought the breast cancer awarness m&m's (they were bags of just pink ones) and I am using white organza bag with a BIG brown bow. It was all pretty cheap!

Favours are hard because so many times they just get left behind or thrown away by the guests when they get home. I am sorry to say I have been guilty of throwing out scrolls, sugared almonds, picture frames etc, because there simply is not room to store them for years afterwards. Food gifts or alcohol gifts are usually a good bet, some decent fair trade coffee or even flower seeds are nice ideas, I also think that candles are good as people can use them and they don't take up storage space in cupboards. I am thinking biscuits would be nice, or some posh chocolates, it's just a little "something" to give your guests after all, it does not have to cost the earth. As we have less than 20 people attending, we are thinking about giving them each a bottle of champagne.

If you want somehing not too expensive but diffrent, why dont you by guest scrolls from www.celebrationsplus.com they are £28 for 50 and if you need any more than that you can buy them in packs of 10 for £3 something. They are personalised wih your name and wedding date on and are good value for money. Depending on how many you need it would maybe cheaper than making traditional favours. Up to you, just an idea, have a look through the site tho, something may catch your eye and I think they have got some ofers on at the moment. Congrats on your wedding, have a wonderful day

Hi i asked a simialr question a day ago and today i just went out and got the fabours. So the first thing it sll depends on if you want colours to match. But anyways, Yesterday i went every where pricing favor boxes and they where quite expensive as we are having a lot of guest. But then my problem was do we have chocolate or almonds but there are a few diabetics, so in the end i decided to have candles as everyone enjoys lighting candles, plus the room get scented and every time you will smell that smell it will bring back memorys not that you will forget. So anyways Tesco do a pack of £10 favor boxes and they are £4.97 each and when we went passed on of the isle they had bags of 20 tea light candles for £1 so we got 5 packs of favor boex and 3 packs of candle. Which came to £33 which is much cheaper and for the children that are going we are going to get some organsa bags and fill with sweets or novelty soap.
We decided on these as if you think of it yourself if you where at a wedding you never eat almonds or sweets in boxes or organsa bags and im shocked on how dear they are today. and as our wedding in summer chocolate will melt etc.every one lights a candle sometime and eveyone has to have a wash so for the price of filling with chocolate or almonds then used the above and just fill the boxe with tissue paper to make it look more decorative,

This is what I tell everyone about wedding favors. Keep it consumable. Because no one is going to want a "personalized" CD with your mix of music (because they can do one that they like), they're not going to want monogrammed votive holders, shot glasses, mini photo frames, etc. Most people (myself included) will take this stuff, and promptly throw it away. I just hate to see brides and grooms spend their hard earned money on something that I'm going to throw away as soon as I get home. I've been to too many weddings over the years, if I kept all those wedding favors, they would take up way too much room in my house, and I've got too much stuff as it is. I've enjoyed the candy bars--you can do candy in your wedding colors (such as Jelly Bellies or M&M's), you can design wrappers to go around Hershey's bars, anything that people can eat will be a winner, and won't be thrown away. Congrats and best wishes!

Perhaps not overly cheap - depends on number of guests - but traditional sugared almonds in organza bags. Although confetti.co.uk is a fantastic website, only use the free stuff such as budget planner, to do list, guest list, table planner etc. The goods are often considerably cheaper on www.onlineweddingshop.co.uk
Hope you find something :)

We used cocktail glasses as table decorations with floating candles and gerbera flowers in a circle, then gave them away as the favours. It cost about £100 for the glasses but it worked out cheaper than separate favours and centre pieces and looked really fantastic

Take a plain plastic spoon, put 2 hershey kisses in the spoon and wrap the spoon part of it in netting, tulle, or saran wrap. Attach to the handle with a ribbon the note saying.....A spoonful of kisses from the Mr. And Mrs. OR Go to Sams Club or a store you can buy in bulk and get a huge box of Tic-Tacs. Then print off on a computer the saying Mint to be together and your names and wedding date. Cut them into small strips and tape them around the individual Tic Tac containers. Good luck! Congrats!

There is a company called The Oriental Trading Company that sells stuff by the dozen or packs that's pretty affordable. Plus the wedding selection is not that bad. Good Luck!

I did mixed favors for my wedding for the tables on top of each plate I put the vile bubbles and I got personalized ribbon to tie on them. In baskets by the cake tables I took tulle and put mini candies in them and wrapped them and tied personalized ribbon and the little rings with fake dimonnds. By the bar I bought from the craft store the large martini glasses you can use for I guess candle holders and I put personalized m&m's in it. I also had wedding cameras on each table.
