The outer case just snaps/clips into place. If i remember correctly it cost approx £17 (Ford parts dept) for the casing and around £15 for the paint (spray can) - Special order from Halfords

The morror assembly is bolted to the door from the inside.

You will need to remove the plastic cover on the inside of the door (oppsite the mirror) to undo the bolts.

You may also need to remove the interior door trim panel to remove the plastic to get to the morror bolts, plus the electrical multiplug for the assembly is propably behind the door card.

If it is just the glass/mirror, then a glass shop will change it for about $15, or you can check your local craigslist, ebay, or wrecking/recycle yard for on, and pay no more than $50.

You can find aftermarket mirrors and replacement OEM mirrors on ebay relatively cheap.

Most will come with replacement instructions.

Get a new or used one...if you are real cheap, and you do have a Focus, duck tape would be fine
