Why would feeling good be abnormal?

Not all women do get postpartum depression. Each one is different. It just depends on the woman and how she feels at that time.

Not everyone reacts the same.

Don't stress yourself out over not being depressed! You are fine, and it doesn't mean you're a bad parent or anything if you don't experience postpartum. :)

I had it awful, after I had my children. My oldest is 24 and back then they did not talk about that kind of stuff. I would have like medication for it but my Dr, said that it would pass. It seemed like it got worse with each child. If I were having a child now, I 'd ask for something before I left the hospital.

yes it is . teh more positive and happy ya are about the birth of ur child and about the beautiful change in ur life the more nice and easy ya atek it. tehse first few months are so god gifted. i really feel sorry for women who amke it hard on themselves by feeling self sympathetic and not thinkign about their newly born child. be brave. if ya were well enough to ahve sex and get preg and then hold it for 9 months then i think ya were well prepared mentally for what its gonna bring along.

Yes-sir-ee. My sister has 2 kids and is pregnant with #3 and I'm pretty sure that she wasn't depressed through any of her pregnancies.
